Hours: Pacific Crest Trail does not have set hours since it is a 2,653 mile trail that stretches from Mexico to Canada going through California, Oregon, & Washington.
Trailer Parking: Yes. If the Warner Springs Community Resource Center is open then you are allowed to park in there as long as you pick up your horse poop before you leave. If they are not open then the only parking we found in this area was along the road across the street from the fire department.
Horse-Friendly: Very! Everyone we encountered on trail was very respectful of the horses. All hikers got off the trail to let us pass and one hiker was kind enough to close her umbrella when she saw the horses get twitchy about it.
What to Expect: You may encounter thru hikers with huge packs which can be nerve wracking to horses. You do have 3 cattle gates you must go through before the first mile of the trail.
Terrain & difficulty: 6.5 miles to Eagle Rock and back. Half the trail is along a babbling brook and covered with beautiful trees. The other half is wide open fields with some elevation incline.
Overall Thoughts: Absolutely stunning scenery! Trails are well-maintained, and with cow encounters it couldn't be better! Will be too hot to go during summer months.
